Dr. Resor graduated from Yale University and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. He did a rotating internship and medical residency at Harlem Hospital and a neurology residency followed by a fellowship in epilepsy at the Neurological Institute of New York. In 1978 he became a member of the faculty at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University and a Clinical Professor of Neurology. From 1983 through 1988 he was the Chief of the Seizure Clinic at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. In October of 2012 he retired from Columbia and moved his practice to Greenwich Connecticut where he specializes in the management of patients with seizures and epilepsy. Special interests include the medical management of patients with intractable seizures, drug interactions with anti-seizure medications and the management of epilepsy in pregnancy.
